Krueger is one of my favorite authors and I have read all of his novels. I always find myself awaiting his next. Krueger’s mysteries usually take place in Northern Minnesota in Ojibwa Indian country. Some of the Ojibwa culture seeps through in all of his stories and that makes them interesting and exciting.
Many of the same characters turn up in all of Krueger’s novels. Corcoran O’Connor is the main character and is of Ojibwa decent. He is a former Sheriff and now a private investigator. In this story, The Red Knife, the head of an Ojibwa gang is murdered and the citizens of Tamarack County brace themselves for a racial war. Once you start reading these novels you will find yourself wanting to read them all.
I bought this book new from the bookstore for $15.00. It has been read once. It is in near new condition.
